"Works like magic"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 3055
Pros
Showmypc works like a charm. I have been a long time user and used it over many different networks. It just gets the job done to connect you to remote users.
Cons
Free version does not save private Ssh information but we got the trial of the private version.
Summary
exceptional product and a very helpful staff Worked with us to build an inhouse setup for us.

"Quick and easy"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 3055
Pros
Good to use software. I use it daily for our general office meetings.
Very light weight and easy to use.Cons
cant really think of any
Summary
Great for meetings. Free to use.
The new features like web based chat, password free meetings are really useful we have paid for a premium version and it just cannot get more easier to conduct our office meeting. The part I love is the meeting room that can always stay on from our private website.

"beware, they make it very difficult to cancel"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 3055
Pros
cheaper then gotomypc, but has file transfer that free logmein doesn't have
Cons
simple signup, try to cancel and you'll have to jump through hoops, make phone calls to their 3rd party credit card billing service etc. Sleeze operation thinks that making it hard for customers to cancel is good business strategy...it isn't
Summary
STAY AWAY, BETTER TO USE AN EXPENSIVE SERVICE LIKE GOTOMYPC which is one click to cancel, or just use the free Logmein sevice!

"Showmypc to remote viewer does not work."
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 3010
Pros
Looks simple to use.
Cons
Doesn't work. It just hangs there and the troubleshooting page just says to go to another computer. How many computers do they think I have?
Summary
Nice idea but failed in execution.

"Best basic Remote control software"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 3010
Pros
- Best simple to use, even for the not-so-high tech people.
- Quick and setting-less
- No need to install !!!!Cons
- Not good for un-attended Remote control - 1 hour per session?
- No File transfer - but you can e-mail yourself.
- Cannot auto-reconnect on restart - New code is generated.. so someone needs to send you that.Summary
ShowMyPC is a excellent software, for times when you need to fix someone's computer once or twice and don't want to install anything on your friends place.
All you need to do is,
-both users (Host & Viewer) download this,
-Host: click Show my pc - and send the code to friend - DONE.
-Host person send Viewer the code
-Viewer: click View Remote PC, paste the code - DONE.
Probably as easy as it can get!
Both users don't need to install this, just download and run.
But this may not be good for un-attended remote control, because theres a 1 hour limit per session- then reconnect. It gave me CONNECTION CLOSED errors. (So my session ended and i could not control it again until i got home...). -
"Quick and Easy"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 3010
Pros
It probably one of the best ones I have tried, simple enough for those PC challenged users you are helping.
Cons

"I have used and works well"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 3010
Pros
Very quick and easy to use. I have helped my sister with her problems on her computer and found it very helpfull.
Cons
None at all. Mind you it has improved a lot since the last release which was a bit iffy.
Summary
Give it a try, what have you got to lose, It's free too.
Don't forget to click on "Get 3010" for yourself and any other users too or it wont work.

"Amazing small but Powerful"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 2940
Pros
The program is a amazing little gem, and a life savor. A lot of punch in it with features like single application sharing and scheduling etc.. I hope they keep it going. Paid features seem to be available, like getting to unattended computers etc.
Cons
A webcam support would be useful and also voice support.
Summary
The program is a amazing little gem, and a life savor. A lot of punch in it with features like single application sharing and scheduling etc.. I hope they keep it going. Paid features seem to be available, like getting to unattended computers etc.
With some additional features for power users would really add to its potential. -
"My first impresssions are a little bit confused"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 2940
Pros
Small program, going fast, has no problems with connection between comps.
Cons
No possibility to record some of files (e.g. webinars after their finishing) gor following analysis, studying, bla bla bla. Beta version going to payed full version (USD 5/month, I mean) is partly different from slogan "no payments..."
Summary
I would prefer some program staying between this one and WebEx, for example. A question of payments/no payments depends on final design and possibilities of so imagined program.

"not free not free not free"
Version: ShowMyPC Collaboration 2940
Pros
The free service was a Beta test which they have closed not new users.
$5 a month for one pc no way!Cons
Is not free which is not the same as no limitations.
Summary
Don't bother with it it's not free and there are better programs if you want to pay. Teamviewer is free and works well
