"It's can make your downloads disappear when rebooting"
Version: Shadow Defender (32-bit) 1.2.0.355
Pros
It can be useful only, if you are expert enough to create a list of directories (or files) to be excluded from this software ability to keep your drive exactly as it was when you first booted it in the morning. This is called "EXCLUSION LIST" in this software protocol.
Cons
The big problem I foresee, for most inexperienced users, they will loose all their downloads of the day, if they have not deposited them in a directory identified in the so called "EXCLUSION LIST", they have to create when they first use this "Shadow Defender" --- This is what happened to 80% of the non professionals I've submitted this program for them to test it... they've lost all their downloads.
Summary
In short, , you will need a lot of patience when transferring downloaded files from their original directory where there are first deposited on your "C" drive, to your directory of choice identified in the "EXCLUSION LIST" --- For reasons related to the protective shield created by this software on your computer, it takes an eternity to copy from the download directory, to you directory of choice identified in the "EXCLUSION LIST".

"Limited use for safe program installation"
Version: Shadow Defender (32-bit) 1.1.0.331
Pros
After Shadow Mode is enabled, all changes are lost after reboot.
Cons
It's not possible to retain changes when rebooting into Shadow Mode (unlike the WIN XP-only ShadowUser), so program installations which require a reboot, as many do, are not possible and therefore cannot be tested safely under Shadow Defender.

"Great security, however..."
Version: Shadow Defender (32-bit) 1.1.0.325
Pros
After trying most every variety of security app, this is truly the most secure that you can add to a Windows system. Nothing can penetrate Shadow Mode to get to your system (unless you want it to). Even better protection than ISR products!
Cons
Outside of user-support, there is none to be had from the developer, who has disappeared. The product now appears to be a dead-end and that is really too bad.
Summary
If you are already a registered user, continue to use and love it until it for as long as you can.
If you are not a registered user, I would not buy into what now appears to be a dead-end product. -
