Scarce on features, this monitoring tool only captures screenshots. ScreenLog's interface is nothing fancy, though it is easy to use and conveniently requires no installation. You can select a directory to save screen captures and determine when to start and stop logging. The program gives you control over the monitoring schedule when it comes to recording frequency, or you can simply start it at system start-up. ScreenLog saves captured images in JPEG format, though some other choices would have been nice. Sadly, no other features are offered that would put this program on par with more competitive monitoring applications. On a side note, ScreenLog requires the Java environment to operate, so expect your PC to run a bit sluggishly. Overall, this freeware program maneuvers rather well for users who only want screenshots as their sole monitoring tool, but it isn't difficult to locate a more extensive monitoring tool that has more capabilities.Publisher's description
From SlickWare :ScreenLog Version 1 can be used to keep a visual log of activities on your computer. You can specify how often you want screenshots to be taken, specify a date and time to start and stop taking screenshots, and view the screenshots as good quality JPEG images. JPEGs are named based on the date and time at which the screenshots were taken, and saved in a directory of your choice. ScreenLog Version 1 is also completely hidden from the user, thus ensuring hassle free monitoring. ScreenLog Version 1 can be used as a personal diary to record your own activities on the computer, or it can be used to keep an eye on what your kids are doing on the computer.

Version: ScreenLog 1
"its free and works perfectly!!"
Pros: like their other products, this one is free, with a 'no hassle' installation and useability.
Cons: could make the process of adding the shortcut to "STARTUP.exe" into the "Startup" folder automatic (I had to do this manually).

"small, easy and to the point!!"
Pros: very easy to use, completely hidden, doesn't start with the computer automatically (unless you add it yourself to 'startup' folder in windows)
Cons: nothing so far!!

Version: ScreenLog 1
"I have Vista Home Premium and it works great!"
Pros: I does exactly what I want it to do.
Cons: Evidently you can't set it to come on after the computer is turned off. I have tried several times.
Summary: I really couldn't tell that it slowed down my computer while running. It says it will start up after the computer is restarted, but since I have Vista, I can't get it to hold the setting. Setting it to record is still a snap - I just have to do it e... read more >>
