"Best-looking terminal I've seen"

November 17, 2009  |  By lyrkerabove

 |  Version: SSH Explorer 1.81

Pros

Makes telnet server-side work a breeze with point-n-click. Easy to install. Full-featured preview, not a crippled demo. Fast. Error free so far.

Cons

If you want to keep it you'll have to pay for it but the asking price is very reasonable. I'll probably buy it when the trial's up.

Summary

I've been telnet-ing into servers for years and this is by far the easiest client to use. It took me a little getting used to the Windows point-n-click directory structures simply because I'm so used to having to input everything via the command bar but once that personal hurdle was behind me, I found this a very easy program to use. It's better than any other client I've used, either as a server terminal or as an HTML FTP client. Nice-looking GUI. Everything's easy to see. Seems to be a stable program too as I've encountered no errors or crashes. It does what you need it to do quick and simple.

"brilliant, about time someone came up with ssh client for novices, VERY simple"

June 02, 2006  |  By billyboston

 |  Version: SSH Explorer 1.2

Pros

I am a novice ssh/telnet user up untill now i was using another software that was all typing dos/unix promt style.

this new software takes all that away,, its like using windows explorer(which i am quite comfortable with) it has built in commands so no need to google linux basic commands like before, everything is point and click (just the way it should be)

Cons

-this software did not come out a year or two ago (woulda saved some of my hair from being pulled out)

-a little expensive ($54.95)
