Version: SQL Server Compare 1.0
"Very impressive - significant timesaver for small dbs."
Pros: Successfully compared Tables, indexes, triggers, record counts, SPs, Users and Views, and highlighted the exact differences between my local copy and a production db - very impressive for a freeware product.
Cons: None.

Version: SQL Server Compare 1.0
Pros: Compares tables, sp's, indexes, triggers, views, users...
Cons: Doesn't do data comparison beyond record count; no facility to align; misses 2005/8 specific attributes in comparison and creation.
Summary: This utility does most of what you need, but it's free. Differences are highlighted in sql, missing objects are scripted. You have to do the hard work to align the schemas, but hey - it's free! Did I mention it's free?
