• TROJAN HORSE DISCOVERED IN THIS SOFTWARE

  Pros

  Couldn't get much out of it, very basic slicer anyway. More importantly, it contains a Trojan! (BAD!)

  Just done a Virus Scan using AVG, and River Past Video Slice contains a TROJAN HORSE AGENT.AYFT. This is hidden in the Uninstall.exe file. Do not download or install this file.

  Do not download or install this file. Otherwise you will be at risk of having hackers take over your PC or find out all your personal information. Trojans are very bad.

  Without much effort the program's most obvious attributes were easy to use.

  As a free download I have no problems with this program. If I had paid for it I would have liked it to do more.

  Pros

  We can feel some confidence when using it and the results proved it. Note that I only tested the conversion of one part of a MOV to a nice clean AVI video clip.

  Cons

  This software did respond to my needs but the interface can be better. I think River Past should adopt the type of interface provided with his Video Cleaner 3.0. It is not so easy to jump from one setting to another as presented here. Tabs presentation is better.

  I wasted 2 hours of my evening relying on this rubbish "River Past Video Slice" with no good control over precise start and end of slice, buggy sound converter, and other problems. So finally I uninstalled it and came to Download.com and found much better software called "Advanced X Video Converter" with a double screen start/end view, easy control over positioning, and no sound distortion, and other excellent features.
