Used Ribbon Customizer for Office 2007 for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Ribbon Customizer for Office 2007 customizes the look and the arrangement of Microsoft Office 2007's toolbar, known as the "ribbon."
Microsoft changed the ribbon's look for Office 2007. With Ribbon Customizer for Office 2007, you can change it back to the way it looked in Office 2003. You can also move, add, and rearrange items on the ribbon, a useful feature for users who like to tinker with their software. We like the idea behind this Office add-on, but we found it difficult to use. We have Office 2007 on our computer, but we didn't know what the ribbon was. Unless we missed them, no instructions come with this program. We had to search the Internet for Microsoft's definition of "ribbon." Once we understood the meaning, we tried it out in Word. The program installs "Customize Ribbon" buttons within your Office programs, but it didn't tell us that. We had to visit the developer's Web site and watch a video tutorial just to find out how to use Ribbon Customizer and exactly where these "Customize Ribbon" buttons were. This program needs to come with a Read Me or Help file so that the everyday user can get up and running with more ease.
This is a 15-day trial version of the software. It installs and uninstalls with no problems. Once you figure out how to use Ribbon Customizer for Office 2007, it has some merit, especially to Office users who enjoy customizing all aspects of their desktops.
