Publisher's Description
From Anyplace Control Software:
Remote Control PC is free remote access software. The program displays the remote computer's desktop on your local screen and lets you use your mouse and keyboard to control that PC remotely. In other words, with this program you can operate a remote PC just as if you were sitting in front of it, right from where you are, no matter where you actually are. The built-in File Transfer feature provides an easy way to transfer files to and from a remote computer. Connection is performed over the Internet using an account and nickname. IP address is not used. So, you can bypass firewalls, routers and other obstacles. Installation on a remote PC is not required.

"Doesn't work!"
Version: Remote Control PC 5.2
Pros
Installs on both machines on our private LAN without requiring an online account - Nice.
Looks goodCons
After more than an hour installing, tweaking my system and computers, doing both on machine installs and remote installs, it just plain won't connect.
Summary
I wish it worked. I'll find something else.

"Not worth the trouble"
Version: Remote Control PC 4.9.1.12

Gives false positives for lack of AV software. (Annoying) - using Symantec

Wont let you uninstall even with admin rights. have to disable service and leave it in your PC.
Summary
Not worth the trouble for Windows 7 machines. Very buggy and has issues with sending passwords.

"Brilliant LAN remote assistance software!"
Version: Remote Control PC 4.9.1.12
Pros
- Great image quality
- Offers great tools
- Easy to setup, use and install
- Does exactly what it says on the tinCons
- Limited to 4 computers on a free license
- Looks old and boringSummary
Over-all a brilliant piece of free software. It does all the advanced work like opening up ports it's self. It's a must have if you strive to maintain your home network promptly!
If you read the comparison table when clicking "Get a free licence". It will tell you that ONLY account connection mode is limited to 30 days of use. So the lisence doesn't lie. And anyways, you don't think they pass data through their data-centre for free do you?

"It does mirror the remote display ok."
Version: Remote Control PC 4.9.1.12
Pros
Easy to install and setup.
Cons
I'm not sure but I think it interacted with other running programs causing issues.
Summary
I will need more time to see if or what the issues might be. Overall it did work.

"Program IS NOT free. Trial software: 30 day period"
Version: Remote Control PC 4.9.1.12
Pros
As described
Cons
It IS NOT free as the license says.
Summary
Don't like it because they are falsely advertising a free license when it is truthfully a 30 day trial software, but otherwise as described.
