This utility includes everything needed to cure the Windows Registry: the search and repair (or deletion) of invalid entries, detection of Trojan horses, and backup and restoration functionality. Since registry errors often result from the movement of files, Registry Medic offers to search disks for moved files and fix invalid entries. Unfortunately, the trial version only fixes the first five errors, which is insufficient to fully evaluate the program capabilities. Registry Medic copes with junk entries left by uninstalled programs, too, and you can configure the program to skip entries linking to removable media (floppy disks and CDs) or any other files or folders. To fully safeguard your registry, you can back it up automatically, even every minute. The program's main flaw is its interface, which is inconvenient for viewing several hundred entries. Still, power users may really dig the tools Registry Medic provides.Publisher's description
From Iomatic :Fix your registry and improve system performance with Registry Medic. The Windows Registry is a huge database that ensures normal computer operation. Installing and uninstalling software can make your registry a mess, leading to decreased PC performance and computer crashes. Registry Medic uses an engine to scan your computer's registry for invalid entries. With the click of a button, you can repair or remove registry entries that refer to a file or a folder that has been moved or deleted. You also can scan and remove invalid software data and Start menu information from the registry. Furthermore, this utility can kill Trojan horses that use the registry to spread bugs that can damage your PC.
Version 5.0 updates scan engine.

Version: Registry Medic 5
"IOMATIC DO NOT PURCHASE SREAD THE WORD"
Pros: Trial version is great ... That is great to suck you in so that you will purchase.
Cons: Your are fore warned. Absolutely NO customer support. I have tried emailing Iomatic (too many times to count - actually over 100 times!) and received only an automated "noreply" response. To my knowledge there is NO phone number to contact Iomatic. Laura at Emetrix (the billing company used by Iomatic) assured me that my account would be reimbursed. I did download the software but the user ID and code key did not work. A simple problem to fix but good luck trying to contact Iomatic. Laura at Emetrix said Iomatic is one of their biggest customers but she did not have a contact phone number for their client (go figure???) Too bad that I had to give Iomatic ONE star they DON'T even deserve that. Way to go Iomatic your customer service SUCKS.

"Purchased key for Registry Medic did not work"
Pros: Nothing to say as it did not work
Cons: I paid and received a key for Registry Medic but the key was for an old version that was no longer available. Despite emails for help over several months, there has been no response.
So, I've lost my $US30 and am pissed off.Summary: Is Registry Medic a sham organisation? They must be making money for providing no software.
