"Don't waste your time!"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
None that I could find.
Cons
Doesn't recognize RAW files. A waste of my time to download.
-
"This is the best RAW editor I have found."
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
IT IS EASY TO USE AND FREE. PHOTOS COME OUT LOOKING GREAT. I have had a lot of noise in the past but no more.
Cons
I have an older computer so RAW SHOOTER works slow. It also sometimes crashes , but it is so much better than anything I have found it is worth using.
Summary
This is the only one I use now. Get it, heck, it's FREE.

"pity it no longer exists"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
best raw-editing software ever
Cons
none I can think of
Summary
I still use it and very sorry that will have to switch to Lightroom (?) with the upgrade of my 20D. Just a perfect tool. Many thanks to all Pixmantec people for having created this for us!

"Doesn't recognize all raw files"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
None but the cost
Cons
Does not reconize Adobe Raw (DNG) or Pentax Raw (PEF)
Summary
Useless for a Pentax shooter
-
"Brilliant and innovative when new!"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
This is a travesty - Adobe bought this product, then dropped it - Corel and Adobe habitually buy up good products and kill them off (Word Perfect?) - is it a competition thing? Andy Rouse co-created this programme and it's brilliant! Reintroduce!
Cons
Adobe's non development in favour of LIghtroom - this was ahead of the game until Adobe bought it out. It's a shameful waste of a good resource.
Summary
It has great ease of use for beginners newly entering into the realms of RAW processing. I run a camera club and use it to demonstrate the benefits of RAW imaging against JPEG. All my members now shoot in RAW thanks to this user friendly program.

"No good 4 me"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
Nothing at all
Cons
Did NOT work for my camera, Panasonic FZ18
Summary
Waste of time for me
-
"Will not recognize Canon 450D RAW files"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
Old versions OK with earlier camera RAW
Cons
Will not self register as stated
Summary
The old Rawshooter on earlier Canon RAW was good, but despite the encouraging comments about new camera formats, it won't recognize the Canon 459D RAW format.
-
"easy to handel adequate possiblilities for corrections"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
adequate to good results
Cons
I was accustomed to the premium version which is no longer on the market
I miss: the straighten function
The color balance correction by the clolor circle
Not all corrections can be reverted (both Premium and Essential) -
"Does not work with all raw format"
Version: RawShooter Essentials 2006 1.2
Pros
This is not compatible with my Nikon D80 using NEF (raw file)
-
"Easy and Simple"

Pros
It is simple, easy to use.
Cons
Comparing with photoshop, the functions are too simple.
