Very cool game; a good time-waster

- Rainbow wars is a very unique shooter game that is great for just wasting 10 minutes or so. I put it on a flash drive and play it when I'm bored in study hall :) <p>The yellow 'ship' you command fires a constant stream of bullets at enemies that reappear. You have the ability to charge up your shot and teleport. If enough enemies are killed you can also get bombs and black holes. For a 2mb file, this game is a must.

Fun, Fast Geometry Wars Experience

- If you can't get Geometry Wars for the Xbox 360 in Live Arcade, download this game without delay. Not only is it a furious, skillful shooter, but it's stylized as well. <p> <p>The graphics are a nice twist on the regular theme. The enemies are shapes drawn with red, blue, green, or any color lines. The background is black. What happens is a nice Tron-glow appeal that gives it style without a huge download. <p> <p>The game is simple: you shoot enemies if they appear on screen. Your ship is controlled best with the mouse-keyboard scheme, where you move the cursor to aim with the mouse and move with the WASD keys. Otherwise it feels clunky. But the same old shoot-them paradigm is avoided by different levels and waves of baddies, as well as a range of power-ups, from black holes to bombs. <p> <p>The sound is practically not there, aside from sound effects. This works for the better, because players usually just want their own music playing in that back anyhow.
- Cons
- Aside from a few different difficulty modes, there's nothing really to keep you entertained. And it only works on Windows XP, which is a bummer. <p> <p>But really, the game is so fun and the download is so small, how could you make it to the end of my review without just getting the darned thing?

- I am into 3D games but only play for 15-20 minutes when I really need a desperate break. I downloaded this because of its interesting title and I really loved it. Your system screen turns into a myriad of wonderful colors which I found pretty relaxing. Bottom line (to even adults): try this for some minutes to get away from your desk if you really cannot till the end of the day!

- This game is fast-paced, addictive, beautiful.... and most importantly, it's fun. If you can stand to download a couple of megabytes, this is what you need to get. And it is entirely free.

- If you are using keyboard/mouse, the controls take some warming up... but in just a few minutes you'll have the hang of it. It really isn't anything to detract from the game at all.

- This is completely free, no quaters or anything. Just sit and play. Great shooter, its so completely original and genius. <p> <p>You can do either joystick or mouse and keyboard. Has high score table. This is just an amazing new oldie.
