Publisher's Description
From e dot studios:
RSS Menu is a systemwide menu for RSS/Atom feeds. The articles are automatically updated and you will get a notification when new articles are available or when some other event occurs. In addition to visual notification, you can also enable speech notification and choose one of the many built in voices. It is also possible to integrate iTunes (for podcasts) and Safari (for RSS bookmarks) with RSS Menu.

"EXCELLENT just what the doctor ordered - almost"
Version: RSS Menu 1.11.6
Pros
Does exactly what I want. Check a website & notify me audio notification when website changes. PERFECT. I'm freed from checking that site 12 times a day. One of the few apps I'd pay for here. I've been looking for something like this forever.
Cons
Crashes on my iMac Snow Leopard 10.6.5 Firefox 3.6.12 both the latest. Titles of feeds do not work. Fix these small bugs and it's a GEM.
Summary
I encourage the developer to fix the bugs. This is an excellent app. I've tried many RSS readers and this on is the ONLY one that has just what I want. I can set the timeing so that it checks every 5 or 10 minutes. It reads and leaves me alone UNLESS something I'm interested changes. Once you get used to it it's invaluable. PLEASE fix the minor bugs. This baby is a gem.

I thought this was going to be a great little app ... until I tried to add a feedburner feed to it.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/username <it doesn't like the subdomain...www or otherwise and will not let me add the feed. Kinda killed the joy for me and I have uninstalled the program.

"Quad OK now"
Version: RSS Menu 1.9.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
After testing and sending back and forth probably a dozen or more emails, the very responsive developer has released 1.91. It fixes all the issues we discovered, and now runs just fine on my Quad.
All developers should be so concerned and prompt. Bravo -

"This is hte best RSS for Max OS X"
Version: RSS Menu 1.8.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
It doesn't get any better than this. When Apple introduces RSS to it's Safari browser I never used it. I checked it out and wondered what good is it to go to a site and check for updates occasionally. I tried other RSS apps and none of them were worthwile. I wanted something in my Menu Bar that would check for me and notify me when new feeds were available. I finally found RSS Menu and each (frequent) revision gets better and better.
The only problem I have is a personal one. RSS Menu has made it so easy that I subsscribe to way too many feeds and spend way too much time keeping myself informed. -

"My favourite ..."
Version: RSS Menu 1.4.3
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
... little RSS feeder - unobtrusive but always there to keep me updated! Much improved - but very occasionally crashes (it seems as though trying to access an updated feed clashes with updating another feed?) ... I've tried the others, and still find it the nicest way of tracking a number of feeds ... Thanks, Jesus! -
