Editors' reviewThis application facilitates reading Request For Comments (RFC) documents, technical documents about the Internet. RFC Browser Standard Edition, with an easy-to-navigate, Windows standard tree-style interface, is preloaded with list of RFC indexes, but the complete description of each should be manually downloaded using the program itself. You can navigate by clicking the RFC document number, keyword search titles, or browse document by document. This utility also facilitates printing individual documents. Users should study the help file to see which features are available in each of the three versions. The trial version lets you open only three documents simultaneously and print a maximum of five pages. A nag screen pops up often to remind users to purchase the application. RFC documents are interesting only for those exploring the history of the Internet. Many terms and concepts are not explained for novice users. If you absolutely want to read RFC documents, this application contains all you need.
RFC Browser is the most powerful utility to view RFCs that renders RFCs into HyperRFCs: intra-RFC and inter-RFC hyperlinking, Colorful, Visual, Scalable. Hyper: RFC Browser provides an alternative way to view RFC texts - rendering them into HyperRFCs with intra-RFC and inter-RFC hyperlinks. Colorful: Users can assign different fonts to RFC files. Visual: provides tree views to facilitate browsing. Scalable: Hide Headers/Footers/blank lines.
