This ultrasimple Microsoft gadget retrieves current United States and world population figures from the U.S. Census Bureau's home page, offering no other features in the process. Population Clocks requires no installation. It merely displays two pieces of information: the population of the United States and the world, with no breakdown of U.S. states or countries. We do like that updates are available frequently throughout the day, although the same information can be found at www.census.gov. This gadget only works for users of Internet Explorer 6 or higher. Additionally, its exclusivity to U. S. and world population hinder its usefulness as an online population utility for other countries. Users looking for immediate updates on current U. S. and world population may find that this freeware saves them a trip to yet another site.Publisher's description
