"Solves and simplifies a growing identity management problem with open standards"
Version: PingFederate 2.0
Pros
Everything you need to get up and running with a full blown secure and standards compliant identity federation solution is included (real single sign-on anyone?). It connects to your existing auth systems and has a very friendly but powerful policy wizard and management interface. As a bonus, it will run on any platform, not just Windows as it advertises.
Cons
The demo isn't immediately intuitive to get up and running but the whole core package is, and is the most important part. Don't let the buzz confuse you, play around in the admin and read the help there. It works on any OS with Java, not just Windows, and can be used on any Solaris, Linux, AIX, or other server platform.
