From PIMEX Group:
PIMEX MailExpress is a free bulk e-mail software that gives you a powerful and efficient way to reach your customers and contacts. Each message can be personalized using a simple text or HTML template, so all addressees will receive letters intended for them only. Messages can be previewed and edited before they are sent out. Every e-mail job can be interrupted and restarted at any time. If there are any delivery failures, the program will resend messages simply with one mouse click. The program imports lists of e-mail addresses with optional parameters in text or CSV format, and requires a SMTP Server. If message personalization is not required, BCC method will substantially increase mailing throughput.
What's new in this version:
Version 4.50 adds full support of Middle Eastern and Asian languages.
I use the free version a couple of times each year. Although restricted to 100 addressees, it's easily manageable for my volume. Once the slightly unusual interface is deciphered, everything lays out pretty clearly for you. The "test connection" function is useful; HTML editing with preview works fine, but you might want to use an external WYSIWYG editor, then save and import the file.
As suggested, the interface will take a few moments to figure out.
It's complete (for my purposes), yet with something of a bare bones feel. I'm happy with MailExpress and have no intentions of looking for a replacement.
Very easy to use. Every parameter under control. A perfect software for my needs. I'm using a free version and consider it as a gift, not like other so called free and more popular downloads from this category.
In a free version I couldn't send messages with my gmail account, I'm not sure if I did something wrong or not. Anyway it is not a big deal because you can configure the program with your ISP email settings.
It works, it is powerful, easy to use, good help file and it is free.
I send emails to 2-300 club members using Contacts. PIMEX enables me to use my database (Lotus Approach - yes!) to directly construct lists for emails targetted to groups selected using Approach, which is very difficult using Outlook.
Be nice if it handled attachments in the fee version, but I will probably upgrade.
