Speed is the best feature of this password recovery tool for Microsoft Word documents. Password Recovery Engine for Word's interface is simple enough for even the most novice users, but if there are questions, the detailed Help file covers them.
It's very easy to operate this app. Simply select a file and press a single button. Users are rewarded with an estimated search time based on the password recovery settings. Those options are easily set on a dual-tab dialog box. This program uses both dictionary and brute force attacks to uncover the document's password. The dictionary attack uses a few check boxes to test modified versions of each word in the dictionary. The brute force options make it simple to limit password tests to password length, custom characters, select masks, and other options.
This app found passwords very quickly. The demo is limited to displaying only the first two characters of the found password. Anyone who applies passwords to Word docs would be happy with this recovery tool.
