CNET Editors' review
This fun program offers one of the cheapest ways to experience scenic locations around the world, but not much else. Panorama BackPacker uses QuickTime virtual-reality technology to display panoramas made by the developer during his travels. The photo quality is good, with some beautiful 360-degree panoramas, with more locales promised by the developer in the future. The program boasts the ability to make a screensaver but lacks an option to make the camera rotate automatically, leaving you with only a static view of selected landscapes. The developers give instructions on how to make panoramic movies, but panoramas created using this method cannot be viewed with the program. We recommend Panorama BackPacker for those who would like to see beautiful panoramic views of locales in Norway and France. We look forward to viewing more locations as they become available.Publisher's Description
