Works under Windows 2000 (with Mary voice)
Allows conversion of text to MP3 file
Very simple user interfaceCons
Doesn't automatically read the clipboard
Doesn't remember voice speed from one execution to the next
User interface window is too big to fit on the screen except at high resolution
No keyboard shortcut keys
No voice pitch control
Minimal help functions
Pressing ESC while text is being spoken terminates Panopreter and leaves the text-to-speech engine speaking with no obvious way to stop it. (Unfortunately, I discovered this while testing if Panopreter is capable of reading a file the size of War and Peace.) -

There is Microsoft text-to-speech voices installed by default.

It would not download anything in any language. I tried downloading something in Chinese but it would not show, I got a message that I needed to have a program to convert the files in microsoft word for it to show up, otherwise I just got sybols instead of Chinese characters.

Its an OK software
Cons
Does not look like a professional software... The maple leaves like stuff in the beginning. The music is nuisance and when converted to audio, it starts with an add like statement of the software.
