Panda USB Vaccine is a free utility from Panda Research which helps prevent malware infections due to the autorun feature of Windows Operating Systems. Once executed the user can choose two types of vaccinations: Computer Vaccination or USB Drive Vaccination. USB Vaccine allows users to vaccinate their PCs in order to disable autorun completely so that no program from any USB/CD/DVD drive (regardless of whether they have been previously vaccinated or not) can auto-execute. This is a really helpful feature as there is no user friendly and easy way of completely disabling autorun on a Windows PC. Panda USB Vaccine can be used on individual USB drives to disable its autorun.inf file in order to prevent malware infections from spreading automatically.
What's new in this version: Version 1.0.1.4 features: support of NTFS USB drives; installer; auto-vaccination (resident driver), multi-language and various fixes.

Good for USB drives related malware, spyware & viruses, so far.Cons
Disabling Autorun feature on computer & USB drives made me realize at a later stage that this application isn't useful at all. What if I want to run an iPad, iPod or iTunes file? Will it hang it up? AM concerned. If so, can always uninstall.

My system is a 2002 Pentium MS Windows XP-PROFESSIONAL SP3. SO far, I've had no problems with PANDA USB VACCINE program, and LIKE the fact that EVERYTHING plugged into ANY USB port on my computer, is automatically detected and vaccinated.

Makes impossible that the removable drives infects another pc via autorun.inf, because the autorun created it's a dummy file.
Protection can be removed via formating the device.Cons
It doesn't protect you from viruses, you still need an antivirus.

Once the usb is vaccinated you can't remove the vaccination, because the autorun.inf It's impossible to remove unless you reformat the vaccinated drive...
