Doesn't work.....

- I bought this software for one specific purpose : to fill in a lengthy and complex British inheritance tax pdf form, so I can't rate the other aspects of this software.

- Didn't work ! There was a title selection Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms and PDFpenPro couldn't manage it : the whole pdf page was blocked because of this ! I lost a lot of time tryi,g to solve this issue but to no avail... Very disappointing !

- On the free version on a PDF you are allowed to convert only the first page and that may be a very simple text ... should allow you to pick a page.

- Not sure why it has to be so difficult to add lines of different weights or text boxes with different font sizes. Perhaps they will expand the pallets for simplicity one day.

- It's relatively low cost way to edit (manipulate) pdf files. It certainly isn't Adobe "writer" but it meets the simple needs I have.

- You are crazy if you dislike this app. It's pretty much flawless, imo. I use it as a reader and editor.
Pointless - won't do what I need

- Won't save data in a fillable PDF if it is not allowed in the original. Other restrictions from the original are also "respected." Nice thought, but makes the program completely useless for me.
- Summary
- I wanted a program to allow me to save data that I entered into a fillable PDF. I also want to have the ability to go back and edit that data. This program WON'T do this if it is not allowed in the original document. When I "Save" my document, it changes not only the formatting (minor, but still different) and deleted all of the data I entered. So, for my needs, this program is pointless and useless.
Achieves many things I can't do any other way

- I really enjoy using pdfPen though I haven't tried the Pro version. Customer support is amazing and very helpful. Each time I've had a query, I have received a very helpful response within an hour or so.
No go with Snow Leopard

- I'd love to be able to alter PDFs swiftly and without hassle. This has not happened yet for me and I've wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work properly.
Difficult interface, pricey
TKirsch- Pros
- If you need a pdf editor and don't want to spend the big bucks for Adobe Writer this should be your next purchase. It works fine and gives you text and graphics editing tools and colors, text boxes, etc.
- Cons
- Since I don't use it all the time, there is a learning curve each time. The user interface is confusing. It cost much less when I bought it, around $30.00.
