Accomplished what 3 other programs couldn't

It worked! I had dozens of reports from a prospective client that had to be exported from their software in PDF form. To analyze the data, I needed them to be in excel. I tried at least 3 other pdf-to-excel conversion programs, and none of them worked well. One of them cut off all the data at the top and bottom of each page. On a 61-page report, that's not going to cut it. But this program worked like a charm on 4 different types of reports, one that was extremely complex.
Cons
* In my case, it converted the data from each row into a single cell. So once it converted, I had to use the Text to Columns feature to get the data into separate columns. Although this required extra steps, it was better than the other programs had delivered and better than the alternative (hand-keying data). * The user interface is a bit rudimentary and dated. But I'll take that over a nice user interface on a program that doesn't work.

not many - product is not very good.

does not convert dates correctly. I sent email to the company who create this monstrosity, they asked for a sample of a pdf that was not converting correctly, I sent and they never got back to me. I followed up a couple times and they said "their developer was working on it". I requested a refund.

* If you need a workout, your index finger will get one with all the Decline buttons you have to click. (Seriously, at least a dozen.) * If you love surprises -- Surprise! Your PC will be hijacked anyway. * If you hate waiting, you'll find out right away your PC has been hijacked by stowaway apps in spite of all the times you clicked Decline.

* Did I mention stowaway apps? * Did I mention that c|net is the "responsible" party? (The pdf2excel folks didn't sneak them into the install package, did they?) * Haven't mentioned this yet: It will take more time and effort to purge my PC of the offending browser-gobbling apps than it would have taken to manually convert ginormous pdfs to excel files.

Thanks to c|net, I'm no longer a skeptic, I'm a victim. Gosh, thanks c|net! Figured all the other folks who've posted similar complaints about c|net sneaking tons of bloatware/malware into their install packages were just lazy schlubs who couldn't be bothered to pay any attention to what they were saying Accept or Decline to. Nope. Sure, I've downloaded plenty of content from c|net that required paying A LOT of attention. And I should've bailed on c|net way back when it became obvious that their business model depends on snookering folks into unintentionally installing tons of excrement in addition to whatever program they intended to install. Is it ungrateful to complain about c|net? Is this looking a gift horse in the mouth? Not when c|net offers something they've said is a free horse, but they also stuff a bunch of Trojans inside that sneak out and take over. With friends like c|net, who needs enemies? Will be blocking the entire c|net domain from all my company's and family's devices. Gosh, c|net, thanks!

Within seconds of installing, the executable suddenly downloaded again. Then my browser crashed, reopened and downloaded a third copy. A "ConnectDLC" toolbar appeared in my browser and numerous unwanted processes appeared in my task manager including ConnectedAgent.exe and something related to a website GreatArcadeHits. I found 4 or 5 programs installed with various names from the control panel, none of which I had intended to install, including PassShow, FastestFox and SearchProtect by Conduit. My default homepage was changed and various plugins (related to some of the above software) were enabled without my permission. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DOWNLOAD THIS.

I received a 1,600-line, 12-column spreadsheet as a mediocre quality scan. Not too useful, as I needed to analyze the content -- sort, extract, subtotal, etc. Sender declined to provide a spreadsheet file. This Blue Label 3.0 was the only one of seven products (downloaded and on-line) I tried that gave very acceptable results. Some of the others gave really pathetic results at 3x the price. One or two were better on certain columns but overall not good. Also, where this product was not perfect, it was consistent, which made editing lots easier. This a very acceptable product at a great price.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Nov 12, 2013<p/>Not sure why other poster said it installed an additional product without permission. Mine did not.

It did not work and could not convert the files. Instead it installed three ZONEALARM programs on my system, a firewall, a program called Zonealarm DO NOT TRACK and a ZoneAlarm security Toolbar. It changed my browser settings without my authorization and now I cannot get rid of the damn three programs,

I have tried many programs which attempt to convert Excel spreadsheets to PDF, however, most fail to recognise the fact that different tabs might be portrait or landscape and also with different font sixes. This easy to use product does it seamlessly and it is easy to create a PDF file which includes both Word and Excel files.

Worked perfectly on a complex document. Found columns in a page that had paragraphs and columns. Fast, easy, no problems, no issues.

I was looking for an app to take on a pretty complex document. There were obvious columns within the data, but separated by paragraphs of text. Frankly, I couldn't really describe how to to the conversion, but the app figured it out. I thought the best I could do is to get to a point I could edit it. I didn't need to. This app worked just fine.

Allows you to skip the "Oh, so difficult!" task of converting a pdf to txt before importing into Excel. (please note sarcasm)

This program doesn't offer any features that Adobe reader and Excel don't already have. I assumed this program would be able to recognize tables/cells being extracted from pdf as individual values; it can't.
