"PDF gets distorted in Firefox using Mac OSX 10.4.11"
Version: PDF Browser Plugin 2.3.2
Pros
Every PDF you open in your browser isn't automatically downloaded unto your computer.
Cons
The image of the PDF in my browser is distorted when I try to scroll down and read the PDF. Only part of the PDF window scrolls down, while some of the text on the top and side remain.
Summary
If you're looking for an in-browser view of PDF's like you get on a PC, don't get this plug-in.

"Lifesaver"
Version: PDF Browser Plugin 2.3.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have used the PDF Browser Plugin for years and it has been a lifesaver. Even now, when Safari does a much better job at handling PDFs the PDF Browser Plugin in still a must. In the past Safari was unable to follow the hyperlinks within a PDF document making it unusable for an essential online reference that is used in my workplace. Now Safari can handle the hyperlinks on many pages but hangs when trying to scroll across multiple pages and fails to display the left-sided navigation pane. The PDF browser plugin, as always, handles these items with ease.
It takes new users awhile to get used to using the special icon bar that the browser uses to handle the PDFs for saving and printing, rather than using Safari's menus. However it does its job magnificently and has been an essential addition for me. -

Summary

I have also used this for years.
It wouldn't work for me unless I disabled any other PDF plugins in the add ons with
Firefox 3
It now works fine all buttons normal
It also works in Safari and Camino
NOTE
It is only suitable for PPC machines, I don't think it works with Intel

We have waited far too long for an Intel solution for viewing PDFs in our browsers. I still cannot view PDFs in Firefox! -

Per the developer's web site:
"PDF Browser Plugin 2 is free for not-for-profit activities if used at home or at educational institutions."
It's a terrific plug in, which has made viewing and working with PDFs a lot quicker. -

"Simply the best !"
Version: PDF Browser Plugin 2.2.3
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Adobe tried to come up with a plugin for MAC, but PDF browser is way better ! The only thing which adobe's product is better is the scolling (supports the wheel). However, I played with adobe's plug in quite a bit since pdf is crusial for me, and found that in some cases adobe's plugin can't upload a file (like science direct site)!!!!!! So just go to your the library folder and remove adobe's plugin.
