Product ranking:#46 in PDF Software

It can display 'some' PDF's - sort of (just like the others can always do)
This software is designed to suck you right in. You start with the basic program which promises the world, and every time you want to do something, you're presented with a 'cash register' to purchase that "additional" function. I purchased several, but whatever I tried to do, it always needed me to purchase one more... It couldn't even display PDF's that other readers had no issues with (e.g. Foxit reader). Support are dyslexic and have got no ability to track problems. The worst software I have ever purchased. Please consider other products before settling on this, unless you are willing to keep your credit card next to your computer. 'Hopeless' is an understatement. I purchased the Editor add-on and then I had to purchase the Insert module add-on, and then I wanted to edit a PDF document sent to me and it required that I purchase the 'Forms' add-on. I've been taken for a long ride. Beware, beware, beware. Takes an eternity to start every-time, and only gets worse from there.
Beware, beware, beware. You are guaranteed to be very sorry if you buy this product, unless you like to keep $pending more, more, and then more. This is a bottomless dollar pit $$$$$$$. And it just won't deliver the goods. I wish I knew what I know now before I started. Don't go there.
I have used just the free version to do some editing of pdf page layouts for a little while, but now I needed to crop and extract some images from a pdf among other simpler pdf editing tasks. Yes, I needed to buy the edit module, but it is pretty clear which modules you need to buy for what and they are all reasonably priced compared most other options out there.
I tried using a couple other pay programs I have (including Adobe Acrobat) and they all balked at what I was trying to do (or I couldn't figure out how to do the simple tasks I was attempting). Within a couple minutes of installing this program, I was able to complete all the tasks I had been wrestling with for a day using other programs.
Yes, it pops up registration key windows when you click a feature that isn't registered in your version. But the free version is just a stripped down version of the full version and they, of course, want you to buy the modules to make money.
Even if I don't use any of the other features I now have access to because I bought the full Pro version that has all the modules except OCR, I still will be extremely happy with this program and purchase.
can combine pdfs
It somehow managed to get adobe reader removed from even being a default program option at all. For opening pdfs from the internet architect vs adobe reader is like comparing a 56K dial-up modem to what we have now. Everything takes a long time and sometimes times out. I have indicated that all pdf's should be opened by reader and I am being ignored.
It may be totally unrelated, but an add-on program I used in excel is no longer recognized since downloading this software.
Do not buy this.
Nothing, it's a total nonsense.
HOW DO I UNINSTALL THIS? ******* SONS OF A *****!!
Don't even think about installing this ********.
I have never been more frustrated by a software product in my 20+ years of experience with computer applications. There are numerous modules, each priced separately. As a come-on, the features of the first and most basic module are free but less than those of a dozen perfectly good and completely free products available elsewhere. The problem arises in use because all features of all modules appear in the tabs, whether the necessary module has been purchased or not. The claim is that the features that can't be used because they haven't been purchased are 'grayed out', but whoever made the decision as to which features belong with which module doesn't live in this world. Example: having purchased the "Edit" module, I can highlight a word in a PDF document, and bold or italicize it, but I can't strike out or underline it -- because those features (although they appear right beside the bold and italics buttons in the Edit tab) are only activated if the "Review" module has been purchased.
This product's business model is ludicrous. To avoid terminal frustration, either step up and purchase all modules, or go elsewhere.
I did not rip off my bank account, and my milk stayed fresh in the fridge while Architect 4 was installed. But apart from that, no pros I can think of.
Took over all activities related to pdf, plus apparently some that were not related at all, did not find all of them before I decided to uninstall. It is a complete nightmare to remove all traces of Architect 4 from your pc.
Don't go there.
None None None
Ripoff. I went to get activation code using PayPal. By accident or on purpose, my PayPal Acct was charged for three purchases. The system gives you a "please try again" as though xaction failed. But in fact, it is charging you for each "failure". Complete Ripoff Scam. I never did receive even one of the three charges. Took me four hours with PayPal to get my money back for items "purchased" but not received. These guys should be in jail for fraud.
These guys should be in jail for fraud. Based upon all the other one-star reviews, I realize my situation and experience is not unique. Run away as fast as you can and save yourself the trouble. I'm still looking, and haven't decided on a PDF->Word conversion program. Good luck!
If it seems too good to be true ... It usually is.
lol they have none
They make you download thinking its free but when you use it it pops up buy now or enter product code. You guys wasted my time and hopefully never anyone else. you guys should be put in jail!
RUN as fast as you can away from this program
Cant think of any, I'm just too frustrated and disappointed to come up with anything positive right now.
After bilking me for my money to upgrade to "PRO"+OCR, I am completely dissatisfied with this product. Error codes galore, slow as molasses, so difficult to create PDF forms, etc that I have all but given up on using the product despite feeling like I have to at least TRY and get my moneys worth out of it.
I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for you PDF creation and conversion needs. And the business model sucks... as you will realize soon enough, when all the people you've bilked out of their hard earned dollars realize your model dupes them in to paying to TRY get some real useability out of the program, all for not.... and spread the word. I think my 4 year old could write a better program. Enjoy my money, as you won't see another dollar out of me.
