Editor's review of OrgPassword

OrgPassword offers users a safe haven for their numerous user ID and password information for e-mail, credit cards, and various other private accounts. Unfortunately, several glitches prevented us from getting very far with the program.

During our tests, some testers had issues accessing the program once it had been installed, and continually received a message stating that the program had stopped working. However, other testers were able to access the program without any issues. The user interface mimics the look and feel of Microsoft Office products, so if you're familiar with any of the products in the Office family, you should find it easy to navigate. The program has a lot of options, but uses tabs to keep all of the options organized and manageable. Tabbed, straightforward commands line the top of the window. You can access your private date by either selecting the category (Accounts, Software, Credit Cards, Email Accounts) from the sidebar, or by selecting a tab in the display panel. We started by clicking the New button to add a new password account. However, we were continually prompted to enter a new password, and our new account never appeared. We paid a visit to the program's built-in Help feature to make sure we were on the right track, and we were. Subsequent tests had the same outcome and we were never able to create a new password account.

Despite its organized user interface and ample 30-day trial, we can't recommend this program for the simple reason that we were either unable to access the program at all or were unable to get it to work when it did run. Skip OrgPassword in favor of more functional password program.
