Users who want to apply audio files to their project may need to edit them first. Ondesoft Audio Recorder for Mac, despite its basic interface, applies desired, albeit limited, modifications to songs or other audio files.
Ondesoft Audio Recorder for Mac offers a free trial version, which limits playback to two minutes of audio. Unlocking the full version requires a $29.95 payment. The program's small size allowed for a fast installation. Other than a pop-up menu describing the trial version and requesting a key to unlock the program, setup did not require any user actions. It is unclear if support is available for the program, and, outside of a basic help menu, there are no dedicated instructions. Buttons along the interface's top row easily identify functions to add programs from which to record and microphones to use. After some trial and error, the recording functions became clear, but a tutorial would have been helpful. Once imported into the program, files can be cropped and sections of audio removed through a simple menu. Users can click and drag to highlight sections of the file for cutting or removal. Playback of the modified files is as expected. Unfortunately, the audio editing options are limited, and additional features would have been useful.
Ondesoft Audio Recorder for Mac, while functional, lacks audio-editing features of other, more comprehensive programs.

Half of the features don't work, the interface is confusing, and the app is expensive. Fail.

Seems to work ok as a recorder.
Cons
Editing an audio file is like playing darts in the dark. An editor without a visual representation of the audio, such as a waveform, to add a visual component to the editing process, should not try to sell itself as having an editing function.
Summary
This is not a replacement for any audio editor such as Final Vinyl or Audacity or any of the others that let you see a visual representation of the file you are editing.
