This excellent darts-simulation game impresses on a number of fronts. On the Oche lets you compete in tournaments against computerized opponents, either in the pub on in the professional arena. You control the speed and the spin of the dart with your mouse, which takes a while to master but proves to be quite an addictive challenge. The detailed, cartoon-style graphics are top-notch, and we especiallly appreciate the close-up view of the board found in the lower-left corner. It's also a nice touch that the realistic sound effects are tailored to the environment in which you're playing. For example, in the pub you'll hear appropriate background noise, such as belches and chatter. Although the registered version offers several variations on darts, the demo will only let you play the game known as 501. The feature set isn't gigantic, but you can choose between two characters, set the mouse sensitivity, and adjust the audio volume. All things considered, dart lovers likely will get a kick out of On the Oche.

Choose one of 13 darts games and take aim. Compete in two tournaments: play the best of the pub in the Amateur World Cup, or challenge the masters at the Pro World Cup. Race against the clock in five, fun, time-based challenges. Take on a friend in five classic two-player games: 301, 501, 1001, Round the Clock, and the tactical game Cricket. All games are in 3D.
Version 1.1 additions include a full-color HTML instruction manual, an animated how-to play screen, and more 3D replays.

This game is one of the best game of darts i've ever played the graphics are brilliant the characters are funny and fun to play and theres enough on it to last hours of fun.
Cons
Personaly i think there is nothing wrong with it at all except where you buy the codes nowadays.

Author did a good job. missing the long term ability to keep a dart player using it though.

Summary
This game is as near to playing the real thing as you can get bought full version within a day of downloading and can't stop playing it. Its one of those games you get hooked on, and you get a buzz when you get to the final and beat that idiot from bullseye (sorry jim)lol
