Overall this is a great product that is hampered by the developers constant need to get every cent possible from the customer-base. If your trial works without a problem, you'll find the expansive feature set a blessing compared to significantly more expensive offerings from competitors. (ie. Symantec) If it eventually doesn't work down the road due to a new OS or some sort of incompatibility, you'll find that the version will be outdated. The only option at that point is to pay for support or get a newer version that comes with support.
If the developer offered a better upgrade-cycle and support, then this would be a five-star product. -

Pros
Our organization was able execute differential backups create a disaster recovery dvd and get SQL and Exchange support for our server environment. No major hiccups. GUI made everything simple as it's the same tree drop down checkbox theme we're used to. Haven't called in but we have unlimited phone and email support but other people have used support I haven't heard complaints(when dealing with technology no complaints is amazing!). Would definitely recommend the software. Best value and most features I've seen.
Cons
Creating Disaster recovery DVD took a second to figure out until I found the support video.
Summary
I don't understand how other backup software charges so much and have less features then NovaBackup. It just works for business and I'm getting ready to install it at home too, so I'll let you know how that goes.
We are using version 14.1 now which has a much better wizard and seems to be significantly faster than version 12 so this review is for our upgrade to their latest version 14 that we are now using.

This was a highly rated program, which is why I purchased it. It was reported as easy to setup.
Cons
Worthless program that is too rigid in its setup and Novastar support was not available. Don't waste your money.

Summary
The software got rave reviews on various sites, particularly for user friendliness. Skip that, they must have been bribed. There is a "simple" view which does not allow simple scheduling. Then there is an advanced view which also does not allow simple scheduling. The help is useless. The software does not give a pop-up alert if the storage media is full. This is a BIG problem since currently when I use "simple view" and "refresh backup" or "advanced view" and "schedule incremental backup" what I get is SEVEN complete backups and a partial backup and then my storage media is full. The only process that works is using "backup" (ie the first backup) on the simple view page - then I get just one copy. So I called tech support, was told to email them, and then got a reply stating that I had to pay the support fee although I purchased the software 8/5 and today is 8/23. Like, less than 30 days, right? And hey, do you think I might have a bad copy here? Did you even read the problem? These people do NOT deserve your money. I was kind of suspicious when all the on-line reviews were so uniformly ravingly positive (like maybe novastor was throwing some nice parties) and I guess I was right.

Gives me the power to save my small business - don´t need to care about data loss. I use DR & online Backup with a local provider. Best product experience I have ever had with a Backup Solution.
Cons
None - even the support works good.
