• I'm loving it - My time saver

  Pros

  I found it true a recommendation at the SE QA and ever since it has saved me valuable time! I make my own blog, but I'm not a developer, so I needed a text editor where I can write my text, format it and then export it to HTML that I can directly paste in my blog. It all works like a charm. It took me like couple of days to get used to the look and feel but guess that's with every new software.

  Cons

  doesn't have the option to format a picture -to resize it, crop it, rotate it and etc. and you have to put it inside a table so you can tell if it's left or right. But that's not much of a problem

  Summary

  Great program, although it is not perfect, is way better than MS Word in some aspects and features. Especially when you want to export HTML that can be useable afterwards.

• I hate FRAUD as bad as Big-Brother!

  Pros

  As part of the US DOJ top-secret monopoly DEAL, November 2, 2001, ALL MS products would provide hooks allowing the NSA constant monitoring. .NET Framework is part of the MS deal, which are monitored and checked regularly by the NSA, watching for certain keywords - the Orwellian THOUGHT crimes. How else could they continue as a monopoly with out further restrictions? ALSO, since it is crippled with lack of functions, and seems more a trial, I felt they were being fraudulent in listing it as free. ALSO, since the main reason I downloaded it is to convert to ODF type formats, an is that is not functional ? ZERO PROS!

  Cons

  It is paced in CNET as FREE yet the website only carried paid-for free to download TRIALS. There is a non-functional 'Register' button that shows it truly IS a trial. And as CNET editors pointed out TOO MANY NON-function aspect to consider a serious alternative to MS Word ? I went back to the OPEN-SOURCED, totally free OpenOffice instead.

  Summary

  Did not like the dependency on the.NET. I prefer less spied upon, OPEN-SOURCED ALSO, Not worth the risk of spying

• Very good Microsoft Word alternative

  Pros

  To me, this Text Editor looks to be a true Microsoft Word replacement. It provides more formatting features than simple text editors. You can insert images and tables, change fonts and color, insert hyperlinks etc. The Text Editor supports bullets, numbered lists, headers and footers. It can successfully read and write Microsoft Word (DOCX) documents, Rich Text Format (RTF) documents, and HTML documents. The program even has a Mail Merge utility like Microsoft Word. What has impressed me is the performance and the way this Text Editor handles large documents (1000+ pages).

  Cons

  - DOC and ODF formats are not supported yet - No file association after installation

  Summary

  A small and very good MS Word alternative that I would strongly recommend.

• Absolutely awesome text editor

  Pros

  I've been searching for a text editor that matches all my requirements for a long time and had almost lost hope till I found Nevron's Text editor. Now, I can finally write anything I want to and have it saved in a text document or convert it to a super well formatted HTML without having to actually write the HTML myself! Here are some of it's best features: - looks much like Word so I didn't need to spend time learning it. - Interface is very user-friendly thus saving me time - has any feature I needed so far and many more - save to any type of file including a perfectly formatted, ready web page with css classes automatically created for each paragraph or inline styles when I need to paste something in a WordPress or Blogger blog post - if you decide to buy it is only $20. Compare that to MS Office...

  Cons

  - Had to wait few seconds for the initial pop up screen to close but I bought my copy and don't have this problem any more

  Summary

  Overall- I loved it. There are little tweaks I would recommend to the company the makes it, but I bet they'll make it better either way.

• Incredible Free Text Editor

  Pros

  -Many features and most of the features I expected -Can generate HTML and PDF -No adware -Fast and intuitive

  -Have to wait for the startup screen to close

  Summary

  Overall a great program that you can use to edit, view and save DOCX, HTML and PDF files. Also can handle large documents so you can read books in DOCX format for free.

• Very good text editor

  Pros

  Free program for editin text and save them in various format (txt, rtf, doc, docx, PDF anf others. In practice we can make document PDF with this software! (However, non-editable once saved). Many options for caracters, insert image, colums, tables, colour and so on. It takes up little hard drive space (about 15 Mb) We can do a free registration of the product in order to avoid to be reminded every time you start your computer, and remove any page from overwriting advertising.

  Cons

  No con at all.

  Summary

  I have downloaded and installed thi usefull program, No adware or unwanted programs installed. Program that I would strongly recommand.
