Netpas Distance offers sea travelers an opportunity to gauge the distance between any ports on Earth. By distilling this complicated task into a surprisingly simple program, users will have an easier time navigating the world's waterways.

The program is blessed with a very simple interface that primarily focuses on a world map and the log of your travels. There are a few command buttons, but all do a great job of explaining themselves, which makes navigating this program fairly intuitive, even for landlubbers. However, if something is too technical, there is an excellent online Help file waiting to be utilized. Users must begin by signing up for a free account with Netpas Distance. From there, selecting your ports is incredibly simple, since no coordinates are necessary and thousands of ports are available to choose. By working through a few basic drop-down menus, a user's route is showcased on the map. Calculating the distance and how many days the travel will take is equally simple, only requiring a single icon to be clicked for each. The program also provides a feature that requires a bit more effort, but will prove useful. By entering in your boat's daily coordinates, your vessel's path can be tracked on the map, which should prove very valuable to any traveler.

Thanks to a surprisingly simple interface and excellent results, this trial, which limits your access to five times a day, is a great download for anyone needing some digital help on the high seas.
