  Pros

  Well this program is simple and yes it converts NEF files to JPG. BUT (read below)

  Cons

  BUT it also does not keep the original colors. In every single photo I tried to transform, neftojpg was turned white into something like light brown (this means chromatic aberration). And also using it to convert a photo with iso 1600 it seems to me that noise is more intense in comparison to original photo.

  Summary

  Well it's simple and easy but as far as it creates chromatic aberration, no I wouldn't recommend it.

• Utilitarian - Does the Job

  Free. Works. Batch mode. Very easy to use.

  Slow, slow... (Do I have 10 characters yet?)

  Summary

  There is absolutely no glamor to this app at all. VERY utilitarian. But it is FREE and it WORKS! Not fast, mind you, but it eventually gets the job done. If you have a few dozen files, go read a newspaper or talk to a friend on the phone. If you have a bunch of files to convert (like hundreds) let this sucker run overnight. Everything I have tried to convert with this utility so far has worked with no problems. Thanks to the author of this nice little tool. You helped me out.
