The enunciation of the voices is very clear and you can set it to provide the intervals that you want. I set it to run ever 10 minutes. I had another clock with voice, but it was not very clear. This one is just what the doctor ordered. It keeps you aware of what time it is when you drift off and forget. Also a little symbol appears down in the notification area and you can call that up to make any adjustment or even have it speak to tell you what time it is currently. Download this, you will certainly enjoy having it and using it.

I am glad that I found this product on my Google search. The thing that sold me is the clarity of the voices both man and woman. I like to hear what time it is since I often get diverted while on the computer, and can't remember what time it is. Thankfully this was easily available and works as good as I could want. Thanks again CNET for having this good software available. I get a lot of software from CNET and most of it is very worth while.

Unobtrusive, Simple, Elegant I set up to say aloud the time on the hour and it has helped me stop losing track of time when I become immersed on the computer as well as daily alarm just like a physical clock

Fun. Nifty. Very helpful when I want to keep track of my time when working on a project. I set it for every 15 minutes, which may be a bit excessive. But that's what I like about it: versatility.
Cons
Would like the option of a visual time announcement when I'm recording something. Nothing more annoying than nearing the end of a recording and hearing "The time is now 12:15 pm" mixed into the recording! Also, need more voice options/languages.

Free utility that talks in many languages.. check the updated version, it now has Spanish, both European and South American (male voices) and Norwegian (young female voice) as well as thirty other voices from Afrikaans to Turkish...

The voices are a bit metallic.. As far as the sys tray clock goes, all you have to do is click on properties (on the opened task bar) click on the notification area of taskbar/start menu prop. (windows vista) and uncheck the clock under system icons.

Let me tell you, the freebie is fine but for those who love to pittle, the deluxe is the way to go.. This one is very affordable and it can actually talk to you (via the speech synthesis options in languages and modes of the announce section) and has too many optional goodies to describe (such as the text-to-speech agent selector).. I am totally sold on this little product and this free 2.6 clock is just the beginning.. After downloading this program and starting it for the first time, click on the web site (found in about/register or help) for some more freebies (language downloads, upgrade, versa timer, etc.)..
