"Awesome app! Limited OS compatibility."
Version: Mojopac 1.0.6
Pros
FREE!
It's fast (loads quickly and is like using a clean install of XP)
The ultimate in portability! I can take my PC desktop with me almost anywhere!
Great for gaming or virtually any other typical PC necessity!
Did I mention it's FREE?Cons
Only works on 32bit versions of Windows XP.
Will not work on Windows Vista or any other OS (but may work on Windows 7 in XP compatibility mode).
Can be buggy with some games.
Occasionally has trouble when trying to stop the drive for disconnect.Summary
Point number one: Go to the website and get the latest version (version 2.0 at the time of this posting). They have addressed many bug fixes and the latest version runs really well!
I totally love my MojoPac and use it almost every day! I can't believe it's free! I would absolutely pay for this awesome program! I take it to work and it's like having my home PC with me and it leaves no trace on the work PC. I can take it to a friend's house when I'm working on their PC or maybe house-sitting and I can just use their PC without having to lug around a laptop. Too cool!
I can play virtually all my games on it too (including apps like Ventrilo and Skype)! There are no apparent speed issues. In case you're wondering, no, this is not the same thing as a "virtual PC" environment. This is like sitting right in front of a computer with Windows XP on it! In fact, it's better - especially if your PC is already loaded with crap. This is just like running a clean, newly installed version of XP. I love it!!! I have recommended this program to everyone I know that needs a portable option for their Desktop.
I've also found some work-arounds for the problem of using my installed apps on Vista. MojoPac won't run on vista (yet), but - as long as the program was installed on the MojoPac on an XP machine originally - you can usually still click on the program's executable file from My Computer in Vista and it will run fine. I do this for most of my games and apps. On occasion it doesn't want to work, but I've had mostly good luck this way.
I've also heard that MojoPac works fine on Windows 7 in XP Compatibility mode so that's a big plus too!
Sometimes the program hangs and I have challenges but these are rare. The only consistent issue I've noticed is that when I close out MojoPac and go to remove hardware from my machine, XP has trouble stopping my device. MojoPac seems to be holing something open. Almost everytime I have to just unplug the device. As a result, every time I plug it back in, it gives me a warning that the device did not close properly and needs to run a chkdsk to make sure the drive is ok. Not a terrible ordeal, but a nuisance for sure and may cause the data on the drive to be unrecoverable at some point. This happened to me once before and I had to re-install MojoPac, which also meant I had to re-install all my programs. That's certainly no fun.
Overall though, this is a beautiful application that I find invaluable! I gave it 5 stars despite the minor issues because it's the best thing out there I've seen so far and it does everything I need it to do with pretty consistent success! The only thing that would make it better is more support for other operating systems (like Vista, Windows 7 or even Mac or Linux) and maybe even a pay version to remove the top bar on the screen or provide technical support. I would pay for that.
Thanks RingCube for this AWESOME program!!! Please keep updating it! -

"The Best Download of 2008"
Version: Mojopac 1.0.6
Pros
I used to run PortableApps.com on my Memory Stick so I check my email and surf the web from work, now I use MojoPac.... You can customize this PC exactly the same way you would do with a normal PC (the "c" drive is now on your USB drive or ipod). You have access to the network connection and the peripherals (printers, plotters, etc) of the PC you are connecting to. And your applications will run at full speed of that PC. What is great is that you will see the exact same view whenever you connect your MojoPac device to ANY PC. So MojoPac allows you to go to any PC in the world and make it your own. I give it five stars!
Cons
Another review warned not to upgrade to v1.8.0.0 because it is corrupted... I hope they fix that problem soon because this is the best software I've ever downloaded---and that is saying a lot.

"V1.6.9.0 is great FREE software but the v1.8.0.0 is corrupted"
Version: Mojopac 1.0.6
Pros
mojopac V1.6.9.0. is a free sofware which you can download from their site but be careful not to upgrade it to their their latest version V1.8.0.0. It is corrupted. once you upgraded your old version, your problem will start up. Disable your net connection before you launch your old version otherwise tjhe automatic update will be triggered. once you are inside you can enable the net thru your host and surf inside mojo. visit their forum CORRUPTED MOJOPAC so you can have more ideas on what im trying to tell you. in short V1.6.9.0 is great but V1.8.0.0 SUCKS!!!!!
Cons
