Minos Album can be saved as standalone EXE file. It also offers thumbnail navigation and optional background sound. The (Flash) interface can be customized with a background image of your choice. The Minos album is Flash based, the program can also generate a web version, which can be uploaded to your site and viewed from any browser. The other functionalities enlarging photos, printing photos, adding music, adding icon for output executable files, photo jpeg quality control and zip compression albums, adjust flipping speed, password protection and adding text on pages.
What's new in this version: Version 2.6.9.318 adds: right click to show all selected files or pictures by a notepad file; a share and save button to the album's Web page.

"Fast, Simple, but Unattractive"
Version: Minos Album 2.6.9.318
Pros
Fastest, simplest, free slideshow maker I've tried. It uploads an .exe copy to your website and saves a copy on your hard drive.
Cons
Simplicity has a price. There are almost no controls beyond selecting your pictures, and the end product was, for me, so embarrassingly simplistic that I'd not show it to a 10-year old.
Summary
You would be better off with any of the better rated free slideshow makers. The others are better rated for a reason.
