MindNode is an elegant and simple-to-use mindmapping application for the Macintosh. It was created with the user in mind and features a very simple and intuitive user interface that lets the user focus on expressing and developing ideas. Nearly no time is required to learn the interface. MindNode is based on the same codebase as the commercial version. While it is still a very powerful application, it misses some of the features added to MindNode Pro that help improve your productivity.
What's new in this version:
- Fixes a localization issue in the main menu.
- Fixes a bug that caused lines to be cut off during printing.
- Improved support for the FreeMind 0.9 export format.

"I just love it. Intuitive. Quick to use. Visual."

Within minutes, I was able to get a map going so I can focus on brainstorming. Can use all the usual mac shortcuts. The lines are smooth rather than angular. Looks nicer. More representative of the creative process.
Cons
Would have liked to add a box with text outside of the map, to provide a brief summary paragraph. Can' seem to do that.

Much better than trying to outline a subject, especially when you are first grappling with organization.
Cons
Sometimes you can get lines running all over the page that are hard to follow. But with a little practice you can learn how to untangle the threads of your thought.
Summary
After Apple's Pages word processing, MindNode has done more to improve the quantity and the quality of my writing than any other development. As someone who writes hundreds of pages each month, that it important. I recommend MindNode highly to other writers.
