• Good program with and does what it is meant to do

  Updates bits in real time so you can see what is going on. Enables the buyer to snap a bid in at the last moment and you don't have to be there to do it great feature

  Cons

  It pays to read the instruction very carefully, not once but a few times. Some of the instructions are quite confusing and if the user gets the time delay wrong one can bit far to late or early. Revising instructions into clearer language will help

I just tried to use it and set it for 30 seconds just in case. I kept reloading the auction and it went to 24 seconds and no bid. It didn't even try to, I was watching the light on my router. So real quick I went to the Maxi Bidder app and clicked on Bid Now. Just by luck it works and with no time to spare. SO WHEN YOU GET BACK FROM VACATION WHILE SPENDING OUR MONEY AND COME DOWN FROM YOUR CRACK HIGH, MAYBE YOU COULD WORK ON THIS TURD A LITTLE. If you've given up on it and are walking away at least let us know. Maybe you're sick or dead. Maybe you have your hands full with an out of control spouse. Maybe you're just a dick. What ever it is just let use know, so we can act accordingly.

Whenever ebay changes their bidding system, it takes this company SO long long to admit their is a problem with their software, and then it takes a long time to get them to release a version that works correctly!!! Until they fix their tech support, buyer beware.....

The website forum is outdated and inactive. Here's a developer with all the mental firepower to make this app work, and none of the motivation. Thus we have an erratically performing application with nonexistant support. It's true that I have paid the price of the software by winning some auctions, but I have lost almost as many, and could have bid manually on them had I not relied on this program to bid for me. I think I speak for most users of this program when I urge Colourful Creations to get on the stick and continue developing this program, and to be a bit more responsive to inquiries about specific issues which arise in its use. Colourful Creations, we would like to see you succeed, and are ready to continue to support you if you show some good faith. Presently (as of 1.12.07) your relationship to your user base rivals that of Intuit (Quickbooks) for bottom position on the totem pole. Thanks to the other users who posted the names of several possible alternative applications for investigation. Altogether this software, with all its possibilities, and with the creator's correct perception of a potentially lucrative market niche, and his obvious acumen for application development, falls well short of the mark because of its unreliability in Tiger, poor customer support, and lack of troubleshooting resources. Colourful Creations, get with it. You can do better. The credibility of your brand is fast evaporating, but there may yet be time to pull your donkey out of the campfire.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I used MaxiBidder for more than a year and had a lot of success with it, and gave it a good rating the last time I reviewed it. But I also experienced lost bids. That's not usually the developer's fault, since eBay keeps changing the way their site works and necessitating tweaks to the sniping software, no matter which sniper app you use. But the developer of MaxiBidder is often slow to respond to these changes, and his attitude toward his customers is unprofessional. Often complaints or questions go unanswered for days, not acceptable for commercial or shareware apps. There are better options available. I now use JBidWatcher, a great snipe program that is Java-based, cross-platform, speedy, reliable, and handles multi-snipes (where you can set up 2 or more snipes as a group and it will bid on each of them until it wins one, then stop bidding on the others). JBidWatcher has a lot more features than MaxiBidder, and it's free.

Setting it up is easy and it works. I do not work for the company nor an I affiliated with them in any way (other than I purchased the program from them).

I would have won an item for $130 that I am going to have to pay now, or wait until another great deal comes along. What a rip off. If you buy this product you are a fool (like me). Let me be clear, this was not a mistake on my part. I read the entire manual before using the software, followed every direction, checked and re-checked the setup, made test bids and it failed. All it had to do was make the bid. Good grief!

It says bid items completed when there are still three days left. At least the information is displaying correctly in this version. Bus is knows and mentioned in their support site. If they could get this program working properly, like it used to, I would give it 4 stars. 1-2 for now since I can't use it, even though I have paid for it.
