I've been an Avast user for years and was happy with it, at least until recent versions. It constantly interrupts me on the Internet and tells me it has saved me - it "saves" me from sites like AT&T.net, Walmart, Walgreen's and similar others. I've been reporting these false positives for at least one year, but nothing seems to have been done at Avast. I finally gave up (tired of reporting "False Positives"), uninstalled Avast and downloaded AVG instead. At least AVG lets me go to my regular safe sites without stopping me and trumpeting it just saved me from Amazon or B&H Photo.
If Avast ever does anything about their faulty algorithms/sensitivities I would be happy to use it again, but the way it is now? No.
The interface is better then the old version. I noticed there are more scanning options. It was super easy to use, even with the new features. Updates are faster than expected, and that was a pleasant surprise. The layout of the major functions of the program are easy to understand. Even a beginner would be able to understand.
Definitely one of the best, not questionaly! This software has saved me from dealing with dozens of close encounters and since all are family photos our digitally stored on our computer, I need to know I have the best antivirus that can protect my computer at all costs. Ad Aware has proven itself time and time again blocking any and all viruses, spyware or adware that even come close to making it inside my hard drive. Ad Aware is always on the lookout so I dont have to be and lets me focus on the more important things in life when using my computer.
Can't be mad at them or say anything negative after using such a g reat free software
Very happy to know I can finally put my trust and confidence in a free software without feeling like there's some kind of catch behind the corner.
