I have used Avast for years without a single problem. It has stopped a number of "PROBLEMS," and I recommend it to all my friends and family & they have been using it for years too & love it. Thanks for a great product, Avast, & stopping all my problems trying to come in! :-)
None that I have came across.
Wouldn't it be nice if all downloads were as efficient and trustworthy as Avast? We have been using Avast for 10 + years! :-)
Quick to start on my Macbook Pro, Mavericks
Runs all my familiar windows programs, while I am learning all the Mac systems
Runs the two systems without conflict and allows access to the files within windows
Stable in running
Well windows 8 can still get virus infections and needs protections as usual, one of my big reasons for walking away from MS
Costs a bit, and upgrades cost. but overall it saves a lot of trouble, retains the use of some treasured MS software and data.
I have evaluated this for 6 months now, and am very impressed and happy with this system on my MAC. It gives me the best of both worlds. I recently had a problem where windows was in the middle of some updates, but I shut it down prematurely. Windows 7 wouldn't start up again. After a small search of the knowledge base, I learned how to start up windows in safe mode, overcame the startup problem, and away it went again. So this reminded me to backup any data I valued within the windows application, in case of a windows failure. It is a little less accessible if a problems occurs and windows has to be re-installed or something. But the main thing I like is the fact that this gives me two machines in one. I have been using windows for 20 years or more and there are some things I cannot change over to Mac. It is good to be able to keep using them, without having to have a second computer. I changed over because of Windows 8 and because of Microsofts apparent unconcern with users dislike of it. I am now grateful to them for helping me into Mac, which is different, but better in many ways. Roger Levy

6 months later, using Parallels and still happy with its stability. Not likely to update until I have to. Recently I had an issue with windows 7 not wanting to startup-something to do with a bad shutdown. But I leaned how to start it up in Safemode and the problem went away.
It simply works!

Highly recommended. I tried Norton, Microsoft spam filters, none worked. They would filter about 60%, when scanner was at highest sensibility. This spam filter works day 1, right after installation, on 99% of my spams. Only small tweaks to do to teach it few more domains to filter. Highly recommended!
1. You have to Root your phone in order to recover SMS. Not disclosed.
2. Doesn't work with Samsung Note 3, even after root, scans to 1 % and no more.
3. Reviews that are positive are false.
4. Waste of time, thanks.
- Sound effects were okay... except the "cat in heat" annoyances.
- Biggest problem was the lag in player movement (choppy). Thought I was playing a sister version of "Doom". This game doesn't operate well on Windows Vista. You will have exceptional difficulty traversing and climbing the storage racks in the warehouse area to retrieve the cat on top of the storage container.
- Poor zombie graphics. Again, comparable to "Doom".
I Use 2 docks Nexus and Rocket. The Nexus is by far the best and easiest to use.
There is only one problem that I have ever had and even that has only cropped up recently. That is the weather module has quit working the last two months or more. It used to work flawlessly and very accurate. Now to get the weather I have to right click the icon and go to detailed which then opens a browser window to the Weather Channel Website. Something I could do myself with less mouse clicks.
If you don't need or want the weather module, then its one of the best out there.
