"There's got to be a better wav/mp3 editor out there"
Version: MP3 WAV Editor 2.6
Pros
None.
Cons
Unintuitive. Editor does not make it easy to cut out 10 seconds of an MP3. Clicking "Play" does not take you to the spot in the file that you are browsing.

"Buggy"
Version: MP3 WAV Editor 2.6
Pros
It does convert from MP3 to wav with no problem. Thats about it
Cons
Any kind of editing (at least on this comp didnt want to test product on any other comp) with MP3 (like spliting or coverting to) left the audio file at double speed. I'd have to reconvert it to a wav and decrease the speed on the file which then left me back at step one.

"Does what you want it to but not straightforward!!"
Version: MP3 WAV Editor 2.4
Pros
A good trial version. Can edit 20 mp3s before you have to commit. I myself will be registering for a full copy
Cons
A little messy at first. Good once you have found your way round it.
-
"Hard to use."
Version: MP3 WAV Editor 2.4
Pros
I only gave it 2 stars because it just might be me not being able to figure it out.
Cons
Would not open any of my mp3 files. How is an mp3 editor supposed to edit mp3 files if it won't open them?
-
"Very useful, with a few annoying quirks"
Version: MP3 WAV Editor 2.4
Pros
This program was very great in that it let me edit down my wav files (for example, movie quotes) to get just the bit I wanted. It will also let you splice different things together.
Cons
You can only edit mp3 files, although it does include a converter so you can convert your wavs into mp3s. Also it doesn't let you change the file name when you do something. For example, I have a long audio file which I want to turn into several short files of different parts. Each time I edit it down and save one of these bits, it saves it with the exact same name as the original file (although I can choose to put it in a different folder). This is very annoying and can be confusing.

"Innacurate at timing"
Version: MP3 WAV Editor 2.4
Pros
Easy enough interface to use
Cons
Despite the interface providing minutes:seconds:hundredths it proved to be inaccurate at moving to the hundredths specified. It may be just with longer MP3 files. The one I was working with was a 17.5Mb file (for an 18 minute long song) and I was trying to get to a point at 02:58:60 (or thereabouts) but found it was jumping well over the single hundredths I was changing the start time to.
