• Are they still in business?

  Pros

  It is a good idea, the design seems ok, but I am not sure that they are still supporting it.

  Cons

  I can get no response to my attempts to contact them for support. On boot up I get messages that their ssl certificate is expired. It seems ages since there was an update. I have not investigated the comments above to the effect that it fails to pick up cookies, but the lack of support or indeed any response from Maxa makes me think that I should look elsewhere.

  Summary

  It looks currently like a dead letter.

  - The interface is confusing - The software does not remove all the cookies, even though it shows a blank list when you run a scan to check for them - Trying to get a refund from these people is near impossible. I'm glad I paid with PayPal and used their Dispute platform to get my money back.

  Summary

  This software is a waste of time and money. I ran a side by side comparison with three other cookie manager software programs. MAXA couldn't even beat a Firefox add-on cookie manager. The add-on continuously picked up cookies that were left behind by MAXA. Use Mil Sheild instead.

  Summary

  THE GOOD: They makes some impressive claims. THE BAD: It falls miserably short of what they promise. THE UGLY: They didn't respond to my query about their shortcomings. Example One: I used their app to define dozens of ad tracking cookies for their black list. When you check cookies using their list--it appears to have succeeded in protecting you from them, however when I use CCleaner it shows that all the tracking cookies are still on my computer. tracking my browsing history and reporting it to their subscribers. Example two: After an hour of browsing I checked their list of cookies--they displayed only 14 items, whereas CCleaner, at the same time, showed a list of over 100 cookies. It looks as if this app has been designed so that it APPEARS to aggressively defend against tracking cookies--but all it does is hide them from your inspection when you use their software. The current version of CCleaner has some issues with Win 8, but is far, far superior to this totally inadequate piece of software! NOTE: I was using the fully paid for, and most current version.

  A lot of comfortable optiones and it's really easy to use. Because it is multi lingual, I can choose my preferred language.
