"No longer works on actively-0supported Windows versions"
Version: LucidLink WiFi Client 2.2
Pros
None whatsoever
Cons
Total crap now that Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, 'cause it won't install on Vista/7 (you can fool the installer with compatibility mode but it refuses to work even with that)
Summary
Stay away

"Not as good as I thought it would be"
Version: LucidLink WiFi Client 2.2
Pros
Worked for a few hours.
Cons
Would show that connection was establisHed, but I could not get online. I tried tweaking the wireless zero config and a few other things, but still could not get online. I uninstalled the program.
Summary
It may work for some, but it's not 100% reliable. It worked for a few hours, but was crap after that, so I uninstalled it and moving on to find something else that's more reliable.

"Simplest XP wireless connection manager I've seen!"
Version: LucidLink WiFi Client 2.2
Pros
Quick download
Straightforward installation
No-nonsense prompts to configure
Does EXACTLY what it claimsCons
None so far...
Summary
I've been looking (for some time now) for something to replace Window's broken wireless connection manager (which didn't show ANY available connections even though I was no more that 3 feet from the router). By accident, I managed to find the LucidLink WiFi client. A few minutes for download/installation and - PRESTO! After a prompt for my WEP key, I was back online wirelessly. I tried MobileNetSwitch and NetSwitcher before coming to LucidLink. While these may be good products, they didn't solve my 'no wireless connection' problem. LucidLink did.
After downloading the installation file, it only took about a minute to complete the installation. Upon launch, the applet immediately identified the available wireless networks in range. After selecting my WEP-enabled connection I was prompted for the security key. After enter (and confirming) the key, I was connected wirelessly - without the need for additional Windows XP or LucidLink configuration. -
"Impressively simple"
Version: LucidLink WiFi Client 2.2
Pros
Very easy to install & use. I selected the network I wanted to connect to and it only asks for the parameters I need for that network.
Cons
Works on Windows XP - haven't tried it on Vista yet
