Publisher's Description
From ClueTrust:
LoadMyTracks downloads Tracks, Routes, and Waypoints from GPS receivers (including those from Garmin, GlobalSat, Magellan, Lowrance, Sony, TomTom and Timex) to your Macintosh. From this information, it can create GPX files (for use in software that understands GPS output) or KML files (for use with Google Earth and Google Maps).
LoadMyTracks can now send GPX files to your Garmin or Magellan GPS Devices, including Geocaching.com extensions and LOC files for Geocaching (support for KML and other GPS Devices will be forthcoming).
The software can also transcode files from GPX to KML (although not in the other direction) and load archived files for certain Magellan and Lowrance devices that have known formats (see the Help files for details on this, including required extensions)
On some devices that have support for monitoring other variables (such as heart rate and cadence on certain Garmin devices), we now provide additional information in the GPX files showing this data.
Although this software is no longer marked beta, please make sure to visit our Bug Reporting page if you have any problems or suggestions.

"Great GPS Transfer Utility"
Version: LoadMyTracks 1.3.1 073

Simple to use and works perfectly every time.
Cons
The user interface is crude and can be confusing.
Summary
It's not pretty, but it functions well and gets the job done.

"Exactly what I was looking for. Operates perfectly!"
Version: LoadMyTracks 1.3.1 073
Pros
Software operates as promised and only includes features that I need and am interested in. Runs very cleanly and precisely.
Cons
It was hard to find this software.
Summary
I cant figure out why Garmin doesn't offer this software themselves. It is perfect. Thank you so much. I cant be more pleased with how smoothly the software operates, and how it does exactly what I need it to do. No bloat. Thanks again.

A great piece of software for Mac and GPS users. Loaded easily and worked perfectly the first time! Just downloaded tracks from my Garmin Foretrex 101 as a KML file, loaded into Google Earth and took a fun tour of where I had just been. I used with a Radio Shack Serial to USB converter and it worked fine. Really opens up possibilities for Mac users! -

So I'm looking around for a decent GPS interface for my Garmin GPSmap 60CSx and my new MacBook Pro, and being cheap, I try out this wonderful piece of software.
I literally had two minutes between the time the download was finished to viewing the tracks and waypoints off of my GPS in Google Earth. Unbelievable! Flawless! -
"Hip Hip Hooray!"

How bad can anything be that lets me connect my mac and Garmin Vistacx? It is great to now be able to send waypoints directly to my GPS. Like others I was encouraged by Garmin's announcement to support Macs, by I am ecstatic that I don't have to wait.
OK, so it works great and a free beta what else could I want? Of course there is something......It would be nice if it translated GPX files to PDB so that I could import them into CacheMate, a palm-based database for tracking GPS cache hunts.
Many thanks from a new fan. -
"The only GPS software that \"cares\""

I just bought a Garmin 60csx, a top-of-the-line GPS receiver that happens to only have a USB interface. Is that such a strange thing? After all, digital cameras, printers, mice, and just about every other device made in the last five years has been USB-only. But apparently the same doesn't hold for GPS receivers. Only in the past year or two have receivers started to support GPS at all (I guess Garmin, Magellen, etc., finally noticed that their customers' PCs didn't even have serial ports anymore). Garmin had the balls to make their very newest models USB-only, something I applaud them for. However, even though GPS software makers have had a couple years to make the USB transition, and several years before that to know the day would come eventually, no OS-X GPS software fully supports USB.
That is, except for LoadMyTracks! I was thrilled when I discovered this program, because it is currently the only OS-X solution for transferring tracks with my Garmin 60csx. Other software such as Mac GPS Pro apparently works with USB devices, but only if you buy a special serial adaptor cable. What a pain. Garmin has promised to support OS-X later this year, but I don't want to wait until then. I'm impatient. The makers of LoadMyTracks are the only people who care about me.
Well, besides being the only software that will work with my device, LoadMyTracks is an extremely simple yet useful program. It's got practically zero learning curve â?? just hit "Aquire" and you're done.
It helpfully sets the default filename of your downloaded track files to the current date and time. This way I can have an archive of all my tracks.
I use it mostly for the GPX support, which lets me send tracks to other software such as GPSPhotoLinker or online tools like Yuan.CC. The Google Earth support is kind of a novelty for me â?? it's fun to load your tracks and say "Hey, look, that's exactly where I was!" I'm sure it is actually useful for some people.
The quality of LoadMyTracks seems just fine. The program is so simple that there's not much that can go wrong. I haven't had any problems yet, even though it's currently "Beta".
I haven't had much opportunity to test the new track sending feature, but I've used LoadMyTracks to upload geocaching waypoints without any problems. -
"GREAT PRODUCT"

Not only is this a great product, the developer is absolutely wonderful.
I have been unable to use my Lowrance GPS for over a year since switching to a Mac. I have asked just about every developer of Mac GPS software if they would add support for Lowrance GPS devices. They all refused except for this one. Withintwo weeks of contacting this developer and suplying him with some sample files he has it working. This guy is a credit to the Mac community. I hope this thing comes out of beta soon so I can pay for it.
