Publisher's description of Live Billiards Deluxe

From TerraGame:

Have you felt the thrill of digital 3D pool? Smooth cue shots, realistic ball movements, the play of light on ivory and bronze, full environmental effects, and a way to talk to your opponents--it's the greatest. Live Billiards is a comprehensive 3D pool game. The Deluxe version features games including Straight Pool, Three-Ball, Eight-Ball, Nine-Ball, Exotic Pyramid, American, Rotation, and DeathMatch. Ball views and physics are perfect, and the game permits any English or masse shot. Network mode works over a LAN or the Internet and supports online competitions, thus maintaining the realism of championship-style pool.

If you're seeking a good 3D simulation of billiards, check out Live Billiards Deluxe. The ball movement seemed very realistic. Our only complaint about the graphics is that the table edges looked a bit too sharp. The sober luxury of the surroundings creates a relaxing environment. You can choose not only the background music, but also the pictures on the wall. The interface is compact and handy. The controls almost make your mouse feel like a real cue. You can view the table from above or from a first-person view, though you and your opponent are invisible. You can play against the computer or against human opponents over a LAN and on the Web. We couldn't get a complete idea of the game because the trial version only offers the three-ball game. Judging from the trial, though, billiards lovers of any level should enjoy the game.
