As a very long-time user of LiteSwitch, I just needed to say that, because there's a lot of misinformation out there about this must-have app right now, mainly around questions of if it works or not on SL. It does. Perfectly. It's understandable why there's this confusion, as the developers have done the oddest thing with this app, and that's not responded to any questions, taken their main site down, and a variety of other things that are surely hitting them in the bank account. But that aside, LiteSwitch works fine. A couple of features that you generally won't find in their literature: - anyone with a scroll wheel on their mouse can use it to go superfast, backwards and forwards, through all open apps. No need to do the Command-tab, tab, tab thing with Apple's app switcher. - Go to any open app in LiteSwitcher and hit A. This hides all other open apps except for this chosen app. Very, very handy for quickly cleaning up ones screen.

There is simply no comparison to Apple's version of Command-tab application switching. When I have to work on someone else's Mac, I see how cludgy Apple's version is. Works flawlessly with 10.4.2. Seamless. No reading manuals. You get it immediately. If you insist on only having the most beautifully designed applications for moving around your Mac, you need LiteSwitch. Just give it a try and you'll see why.

I've been using it for many years now (going all the way back to the OS 9 version that was originally part of the GoMac add-on), and I find it absolutely indispensable. I've never liked the way Apple's half-assed LiteSwitch ripoff works (it moves hidden apps to the end of the list, it doesn't have the contextual menu, it's not customizable, etc.). Anyway, I'm really glad to see this updated for Tiger. It had been quite awhile since the last update, and I would hate to see one of my favorite add-ons disappear.

Liteswitch saves me time, an extra keystroke when I switch back. Apple's switcher is huge and looks like the dock resized to be like the Hulk. Liteswitch allows the switcher to be resizeable (from huge to tiny). And I can easily force quit a program (F-F) and relaunch it by tapping F-R on the keyboard (that saves me much time). The keystrokes are ingenious. Also, Liteswitch is a better deal if you buy 3 pack license at a time, costing about $5 each. :-D
