It offers easy access to all LAME parameters without the need for command line usage. The program offers a simple mode (for beginners), which was designed according to the LAME authors guidelines, and an advanced mode which reveals additional expert options.

Version 1.3 supports XP visual styles, small source code modification, and fixes bugs.

Version: Lame Front-End 1.3
"Very helpful for batch conversion to mp3."
Pros: I have only used it to convert wav to mp3, but so far it has worked well. You do have to specify where the lame.exe file is located. This software provides a graphical, user interface; it does not actually encode by itself.
Cons: The help file was not helpful.
Summary: I was looking for a small program that could do batch encoding. This does that well, and it is also relatively easy to change important settings.
