JonDo enables its users to stay anonymous on the internet by giving access to strong anonymisation systems. It hides the users IP address from website operators, network admins, providers, intelligence agencies and even the operators of the accessed anonymisation systems. Each application that should be anonymised has to be configured separately for using JonDo. No registry settings have to be changed, and administration rights are not needed, neither for installation, nor for running the program. The software is open source and free for use. It grants access to both free and commercial anonymisation services.

"Slows down the internet HUGELY!!!"

Really slowed down my internet - it took nearly 15-20 seconds to open each page. I decided to uninstall it, only to discover that there is NO uninstall option with this program. Tried to drag and drop it into the trash on my Mac but "not allowed"
Summary
Any program that does not come with an uninstall option makes me suspicious. When I tried to drag it into the trash to uninstall it on my Mac, I got a message that said something like "this option is not allowed). I emailed the company asking them how to uninstall it and have not received any reply. You can make your own judgements from here.

Set-up instructions ask me to do something in system prefs that is not possible. What gives?

A great bit of software. Allows me to access sites blocked in my region of the world. It slows down the internet connection, but this is to be expected. Simple interface and also comes with a setup assistant. Up and running in minutes. -
