Letting you focus on creating puzzles rather than playing them, Jigsaw Puzzle Creator lets you customize every aspect of your production: the main picture, the background image, MIDI or WAV music files, sound effects, skins, buttons, and even menus. The interface is orderly and easy even for beginners to use, thanks to wizard dialogs. Once you're familiar with the program, you can skip the wizards and open a blank project. It's a good thing the program is self-explanatory, because the help files are rudimentary. The puzzles the program produces look amazing but lack interface features, such as a magnifying glass, that make solving large puzzles easier. Most damagingly, we weren't able to create a valid executable with the trial version, though that wasn't listed as a restriction. Because of that issue, this version of Jigsaw Puzzle Creator suits only users who want to create puzzles for solving on their own computers.
