Version: James Bond 007: NightFire demo
"Nice premise, poor Artificial Intelligence."
Pros: The download is quick and easy, and has relatively good graphics and length for its size. 007 comes equipped with a full range of weapons, as well as several creative gadgets. The controls are easy to use, and customizable.
Cons: Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives in NightFire. The "mission" is vague at best, and the gadgets, at least in the demo version, do not come into play.
The AI is one of the worst I've ever seen. None of the assassins/terrorists react realisticly. Few of them respond to the sounds of gunfire, take the offensive, or seek cover. There were even a few instances when I was able to walk right up in front of a group of terrorists, blow one away with a machine gun, and the others just stood there, waiting for the hair trigger to point in their direction! Granted, a lot of them do react close to what they should, but numerous flaws were present.
Overall, if you want a good James-Bond-like game, try Hitman 2 by Eidos. EA games has simply soiled James Bond's name with the creation of NightFire.
