"works extremely well"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.9
Pros
very easy to use , it gives visual comparisons of before and after compression ,plus sliding scale of amount of compression chosen.
-
"It's an amazing product."
Version: JPEGCompress 2.8.2
Pros
This software is very easy to use and it works perfectly nice. It is compitable with all Widows versions. I feel so good to using this software.
Cons
It's options are limited but what more we want if a software of its ilk can compress any image in a very short time than many options?

"Great product, easy to use"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
Pros
It's simple, flexible to use, goes right to do its compression function and it's truely free. I would not mind paying for it since it does not play the game of bait and switch and it works great.
Unlike other "free" software that leads one to install and does not work until you register.

"Really Good. Really Simple"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
Pros
It has a simple, "NORMAL" interface so that you can actually use the program upon first glance. I use it for Ebay sales. Loving it...Plus, it was free! Lowers my Operating Costs :)
Cons
Can't think of anything right now. Come on people, it's free!

"Great Program !!!"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
Pros
Easy to use, handy, versatile, small... and free. What else can you ask for?
-
"Excellent for FREE!"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
Pros
It is a very simple tool which fixes my problem easily. The photos from digital camera and scanner are often too large to be sent. Of course it can be adjusted when file is created, but it would use up a lot of time and I don't bother to change the setting every time. This software helps.
Please do not compare this with products from big companies. It is free!
Cons
Functions would not be enough for photo editing.

"It rocked for a free product"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
Pros
It's fast and the compress ratio is outstanding and didn't loose too much quality from the original. I love the batch processing.

"Good But Unfortunatly a Let Down"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
Pros
Really reduces the image size, makes it easier to back up. My Digital Camera, Pentax Optio S5i, takes rather large pics. I take pictures of pieces of paper for archival purposes (just like a scanner), but the pics are always around 800kb. I want to have somewhat high res, but not that much sharpness. This program does that.
Cons
The program does not preserve the "background file details," I think their called EXIF something. I'm talking specifically the date and time the picture was taken, the camera model, etc. I'm left with just a picture and none of the neat info the camera attaches to it.

"Useful and functional, but not what I need"
Version: JPEGCompress 2.7
Cons
Apart from batch-processing capability (which I never use), the program disallows multiple files on the command line and only opens ONE file at a time. Impossible to toggle between images or view simultaneous comparison of multiple images. Also absent are automatic detection of current compression level for existing images and JPEG subsampling (e.g. YUV411). Lastly, image resizing is not without unacceptable distortion.
This utility works, but unfortunately not for what I need it to do.
