Most Internet users probably feel resigned to the speed of their connection, whatever it may be; there's no obvious way to improve it short of giving even more money to your ISP or getting new hardware. Internet Cell Boost questions that assumption by promising to increase Internet speeds by optimizing your network configurations. Although we can't swear that it will work for everyone, it did indeed show a definite improvement for us.

Before we tried Internet Cell Boost we ran a couple of online speed tests to get a baseline for our download and upload speeds. We launched the program and were greeted with a menu with items for Internet Settings, Advanced Settings, Local Area Network, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Everything Automatically. In the free version, however, only the Internet Settings feature works. Clicking on this brings up a screen on which users can select the type of connection they have, with numerous options for DSL or cable, wireless connections, dial-up, satellite, and closed networks. If you're not sure what kind of connection you have, you'll have to seek outside assistance to figure it out, as the program doesn't come with a Help file or any other documentation. We selected our connection type and clicked the Apply Optimization Settings button. The program asked us if we were sure, we confirmed, and then we were informed that we'd have to restart our computer for the changes to take effect. We did, and then ran our speed tests again. Both of them revealed that our download speed had increased by about 2MB per second, while our upload speed remained about the same. We found Internet Cell Boost to be an incredibly simple way to increase our download speed by a significant amount. We can't say exactly why it works, but it definitely does.

Integrated Bandwidth Monitor resets when changing to another screen on the application itself.

I used this last thing yesterday to 'optimize everything automatically' on my PC (XP-SP3) just to see if it made any difference, if not I intended to restore things back to where they were. I have been running it all morning and used 5 different speed tests. For download they are showing improvements of between 450 & 700%, that is through both a VPN and a proxy at the same time. I cannot comment on upload speeds as I have never taken notice of them before. It will be interesting to see what effect it has on my Netbook with the same OS.

This software program makes a favourable first impression but that's all. I thought I would like it but I was not.
Cons
I don't like that it sort of baits you with the "lite" version with very limited functions and then try to get you to upgrade to the pro version. It does not work with 64-bit Windows 7 which is what I have been using on my new system.
Summary
I wanted to use this program to boost my mobile broadband service but it did not do much with my 64-bit Windows 7 O/S. The lite version has very limited functions and there is not much incentive to upgrade.

Yes, it help my internet connection to get the maximum speed. Offcourse you will only 78% for THE FREE VERSION, but I get the 100% status when I buy the upgrade version (it's called Highspeed Surfer 2)..

None that I don't like.

Just buy the upgrade version (only cost $15)...and you will get the max speed of your internet connection speed.

Summary
no matter what setting I used for connection type, I only reached 78% on my internet connection. I have FIOS 25/15 and saw no difference. Every connection type listed the same %. Does not do what it claims, maybe on upgrade, but not free version.
