InstantSync FTP is a desktop tool for high speed file synchronization, mirroring, replication, and remote backups over FTP. The underlying smart SyncDB file tracking technology guarantees that only new and changed files are transferred, making it perfect solution for Web site updates and remote server backups. The Sync Preview feature allows you to see the sync results without actually transferring anything, and helps you to test and fine tune sync task filters and other options. The filtering options let you limit transferred files by file and folder name, size, date, and attributes. InstantSync accelerates file transfers with multithreaded transfer engine and on-the-fly file compression. It also supports automatic retries, reconnects, and resumes for error free file transfers. Extensive logging options with multiple log file rotation schemes are available.
What's new in this version: Version 3.0.13 added a new setting in Options > General > Generate a warning message to transfer/error logs if transfer is retried.

"Simple, efficient, fast to use, does what's needed"
Version: InstantSync FTP 2 build 30
Pros
Gives side-by-side file list of local and server files in pre-view, does fast sync. Good range of sync options, can exclude selected files or directories. Quick to set up logins to remote site, doesn't need to be re-entered. I found this has greatly speeded up my site maintainence, useful tool, strongly recommended.
Cons
After doing sync, file preview window doesn't refresh - has to be closed and re-opened.
